Went for a quick lunch with my wife. We let the hostess know it was our first time visiting and she was very helpful throughout our lunch. She visited our table more than once to see if everything was to our liking and chatted with us like we were old friends. The food was good and fresh. This definitely won’t be our only visit.

Always fresh and promptly prepared. Humdinger has a variety of healthy food items to choose from. My personal preference is the cajun pasta with grilled chicken and my second choice is blackened fish, rice, and sweet potatoe fries. With either meal, you'll receive generous portions.

My dining experience at Humdingers was exceptional, warranting a five-star rating. We began with the calamari and Asian coleslaw, both accompanied by perfectly balanced dipping sauces. The calamari was notably fresh and expertly prepared, showcasing the kitchen’s attention to quality. For the main course, I enjoyed the grilled fish tacos paired with roasted corn on the cob. The tacos were vibrant, flavorful, and crafted with fresh ingredients, making for a delightful combination. The standout dish, however, was the shrimp and grits, which surpassed any I have previously tasted in both flavor and execution. I highly recommend Humdingers and look forward to returning for future visits. The quality and care in their dishes make it a must-visit dining destination.

This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The service was great and the food was good. I had the grilled catfish with a pineapple salsa and the corn on the cob and the rice. The grilled catfish(5 stars) was seasoned just right and the pineapple salsa was the perfect touch. The corn on the cob Was not as warm as I expected, and could have used a little more heat, but it is still good (3.5 stars). The rice was also good (4 stars.) my wife had the fried catfish fillets and it was some of the best that I’ve had in a long time. She also had french fries which were good and they also gave you a good size portion. I tried this place because I had a coupon from the Sweet deals Memphis website. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the restaurant setting was perfect. I highly recommend the spot and we will be back.

Ate here for my birthday dinner. I ordered the plate of 3 tacos (1 avocado, 1 grilled shrimp, and 1 humdingers shrimp with a side of grilled sweet potato), and my husband got the Cajun pasta with shrimp. It was delightful! A great place to go for shrimp food that’s not too expensive. Our food was delicious, though I wish my shrimp tacos came with some avocado slices on them. If I order the same thing again, I would move some of the fried avocado to my other tacos and vis versa so I have avocado on my shrimp tacos. Take note, if you’re going to save a taco to go, save the one that doesn’t have fried parts on it! I wanted to save one to go, but already ate my grilled taco, so I had to swallow down all 3 because I knew they wouldn’t be as good later. I was hoping for a place with dimmer lights, and their lighting was perfect. I was worried at first because photos here showed really bright light at least during the day. We snagged a booth and were pretty comfortable. The lady who took our order felt a little weird. Instead of asking what I’d like for a side, she just waited until I said it. It was my first time there, and I figured she could tell from how I ordered the tacos, but I’m questioning if I would have even gotten my side if I didn’t just say what I wanted for it.

The food was great! I highly recommend. This is a 4.7 rounded up to a 5 star rating because I ordered to dine-in but they served me in a to go plastic container, the fish didn’t have the topping I ordered and the sauce container was only a 1/4 full of sauce. But it was still delicious and I will be coming back again!

Amazing meal! The salmon was perfectly cooked.Juicy and flaky, but lacked seasoning but came with a pineapple salsa that was amazing. But the real star was the Brussels sprouts with that chili sauce — absolutely top tier. Crispy on outside and tender on the inside, and the sauce gave just the right kick without overpowering. I'm in love! Highly recommend!
